Alanis Morissette Finds Herself A New Man

It’s been quite sometime since we’ve seen photos of Alanis Morissette happily in the arms of a man … I don’t think we’ve seen her coupled up with anyone since her break-up with Ryan Reynolds a couple of years ago. Since their break-up, as y’all should know, Ryan went and hot himself married to Scarlett Johansson … and Alanis has remained single. Sure, she went out and got herself a new tattoo about a year ago now … and has been spending time with her friends … but she has not found herself a new love … until now. Here are cute photos of Alanis with her new man, a musician named Souleye, lookin’ all cute and stuff as they did some shopping this weekend at Fred Segal in Santa Monica, CA:

They look like a good match … and she looks really happy. It’s so nice to see Alanis lookin’ all smiley again. I can’t even imagine how difficult it was for her to heal from her break from Ryan (tho, listening to Alanis’s album Flavors of Entanglement gives me some hint as to how difficult it was for her) but it looks like she is ready to move forward and forge ahead with this new chap. I wish them both every happiness … after all, this might be the true love of her life :)

Tiger Woods injured in late night car crash

(HMG) – Details are just coming in, but early reports are that Tiger Woods was  injured in a car crash near his home in Florida, in a single car accident.  While some media outlets are reporting the champion golfer to have been seriously hurt in the accident, his agent has told USA TODAY that the golf superstar is fine. The Florida Highway Patrol did report that Woods, hit the hydrant and a tree after pulling out of his driveway in his 2009 Cadillac sports utility vehicle. The patrol reported his injuries as serious, and that he was taken to Health Central Hospital, so we’ll have to wait to see what the real extent of his injuries are. The accident occurred at 2:25 a.m. Friday, but supposedly no alcohol was involved. Backing out of your car at that time of night and plowing into objects allegedly hard enough to injure yourself seems a little strange. However The Orlando Sentinel quoted the Florida Highway Patrol as saying he vehicle speed was under 33 mph., but the airbags in Woods’ Cadillac Escalade did not deploy.

Update: Tiger suffered facial injuries and has been released from the hospital. Authorities say “charges were pending”.

Gatecrashers Michaele and Tareq Salahi did meet President Obama

Michaele and Tareq Salahi, the socialite couple who gate-crashed President Obama’s first state dinner Tuesday night, seem to have exposed alarming flaws in White House security. The couple were not on the guest list, but somehow made it through a Secret Service checkpoint and were allowed to enter the dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.  Luckily, in this instance the gate-crashers were motivated only by fame, promoting themselves for a gig on Bravo’s new reality show, “Real Housewives of D.C..”  Michaele previously posted photos on Facebook taken at the dinner, posing with White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, CBS anchor Katie Couric, Vice President Biden and three Marines in dress blue uniforms. But the smoking gun i.e. picture everyone has been wondering about, has been revealed by the White House themselves, which shows President Obama meeting and greeting the Salahi’s.

The revelation underscored the seriousness of the security breach and prompted a quick apology from the Secret Service.  With threats against President Obama soaring nearly 400 percent, since he took office, the effectiveness of the current Secret Service protection is being called into question. Director of the Secret Service, Mark Sullivan, saying that his agency was “deeply concerned and embarrassed” by the events.

Sure the party-crashing couple from Virginia did go through metal detectors, before entering the dinner, however, critics point out, the party-crashers could have carried a dangerous chemical agent, such as Anthrax into the White House undetected.  Although the couple’s lawyer claim his clients didn’t gate-crash, the Secret Service is preparing to file criminal charges against the couple, according to Secret Service spokesman Jim Mackin.

Jennifer Lopez falls while performing at the AMAs

Jennifer Lopez performed one of her new, annoyingly repetitive electro-pop excuses for music at the AMAs last night. The song, called “Louboutins,” was inexplicably performed on a faux boxing set complete with a ring and male dancers dressed up to look like boxers. I looked up the lyrics to this song and it uses overpriced shoes as a metaphor for leaving a bad relationship. There’s no mention of sports or boxing.

During her AMAs performance J.Lo fell flat on her ass while attempting to jump over some dancers, but she got up afterwards and quickly resumed her routine. Many people commenting on YouTube point out that she’s lipsyncing and still couldn’t pull off the dance moves. It was pretty ambitious of her to try and land that jump, but ultimately it didn’t work out for her. She was wearing flat shoes and not heels as you would expect from the title of the song. I think I speak for most of us when I point and say “ha ha!”

Lopez’s fall was edited out of the West Coast broadcast of the AMAs. Radar Online has the video of the performance that was aired Pacific time. The jump is slowed down and cuts to Lopez on her feet to give the impression that she landed smoothly.

Adam Lambert also supposedly fell during his performance of “For Your Entertainment.” He seems to fall and roll over in the clip below, but if PopSugar didn’t point out that this was a mistake I would have assumed the roll was part of the act. You can kind of tell that he messed up because he has to stop singing for a moment while the backup track takes over. Now that’s entertaining.

Michigan lineman delivers a low blow

It was a bad Saturday for the Wolverines.  Frankly, its been a bad year for them in general.  The 1-6 Fighting Illini absolutely rolled over them in the second half en route to a 38-13 blowout.

And some of the Wolverines didn’t take it too well.  Mark Ortmann, an offensive linemen decided when the going got tough, take out your opponents family jewels.
